China got some rather exciting news today as they are building a Shenzhen skyscraper. You’re probably wondering what that is exactly? Well apparently it is a giant lab that is going to be used for Internet services and devices. They want to test the Internet of things. Why am I not surprised? It will be a technological revolution. It will incorporate the use of a hologram for guides. Bloomberg Technology touches base on Ivan Wan: chief architect for Tencent and the significant functions of this new building. “Using our building as a massive testing field for the next generation of smart devices and technology is what makes this project iconic.”
In terms of Internet services and devices WeChat will be used. It is a cross-platform instant messaging service urbanized by Tencent in China. It was first released in January 2011. Apparently, it is one of the biggest outside messaging apps by monthly active users.
This building and lab is luxurious. It includes facilities with great activities. Such as roof top gardens, a swimming pool and a rock-climbing center. Technology is taken to the next level with this building by being able to track who is in the building through the use of badges and doors can open with face recognition. Technology is just limitless. Of course saving money is an important aspect when your building and managing such a huge building. Amazingly, the warmth produced will in fact be used to supply warm water for the pool, kitchens and bathrooms. This is an innovative idea. The ventilation system will also reuse indoor air to chill down any external draft and accumulate power whereas live data feeds will increase the capability to observe water and energy management. The enterprise is intended to produce annual savings of approximately 6.85 million Yuan a year.
The interior design of this building will catch the eyes of many, as it will be modern and innovating. The plan is to have workers set up by June of 2017.
Does technology really regenerate, change and improve so quickly? Well according to Technology Trend Analysis, they use an analogy to make us understand. The hour hand of a clock, if you continue gazing at it you would feel like time is going by so slowly. If you don’t focus on it and keep yourself busy you will see that time has moved a lot quicker. The same matter is in fact accurate with technology. If you think about it 10 years ago things were a lot different with technology. 10 years ago there was no Gmail, the Ipod was the new thing on the block and there was no Iphone or Ipad. Can you imagine a world with no Iphone? That’s crazy. Oh yeah and there was no Facebook. So as you can see technology has dramatically changed over the past 10 years.
